Nearly 400 Finalists Chosen Among 2,000 Entries
DALLAS, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly 400 journalists, photographers, editors and public relations professionals were honored last night as The Press Club of Dallas formally announced the selected finalists of the 41st Annual Katie Awards, at a reception held at Southwest Airlines General Headquarters. 123 winners will receive their coveted Katie Award statuette at a formal banquet on November 6, hosted by ABCNews 20/20 correspondent, John Quinones.
This year's Katie Awards, sponsored by Sprint Business, was open to all working journalists and public relations professionals in the five-state area of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Judging was coordinated by Jim Stovall of the University of Alabama.
