SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 2002
SoundWorks International, Inc. (OTC:SODW) announces that a Letter of Intent has been signed to acquire all of the assets of a Florida-based Earth Station.
SoundWorks International, Inc. will acquire the Earth Station, based in White Springs, Florida and licensed for audio, video and data uplinking, pending FCC approval. The acquisition agreement is with a company headed by Victor Ives, a former executive with Gene Autry's Golden West Broadcasters. Ives has since built and operated radio and TV stations and was the Host Producer of Golden Age of Radio, which has been in syndication for 20-plus years.
The White Springs, Florida Earth Station serves Western Europe as well as the Americas. Ives will continue to head up the Earth Station and plans to use the facility to launch a Health Talk Network, food and travel programming and lease uplinking services to clients.
Ives plans to establish a nationwide radio network together with the opportunity to market a very substantial library of entertainment content, including motion picture classics in action, horror, comedy, western, family and music genres. This will be done through Classic Reel. Recent (DVD) releases by Classic Reel starred Nicolas Cage, Peter Boyle, Kathy Baker, Peter Weller, Charles Bronson, John Glover and Susan Sarandon.
