The Mechanic

Arthur Bishop (Charles Bronson) is a "mechanic"--a hired killer. And he's the best at what he does, for he exterminates his targets in uniquely violent ways. But the 50ish Bishop is about to retire, so he takes on a young apprentice named Steve McKenna (Jan Michael Vincent). However, the mechanic finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place when he's hired to kill Steve's father.

MECHANIC is a pivotal film that brought together the talents of Charles Bronson and director Michael Winner. Had they not met here, there is a good chance they would not have gone on together to produce the three wonderful DEATH WISH films. Add to the combination of Michael Winner and Charles Bronson the excellent Jan Michael Vincent, and the result is an explosive, essential example of action entertainment at its best.
